Electrical Designs

Where do you begin with electrical designs? It starts with the Electrical Code.

The electrical code states that receptacles are to be space no more than one location every 12 feet. Also, receptacles are to be placed no more than 6 feet from a door or closet. The electrical code is the 1st step in determining the number and placement of all wall receptacles for a project.

Are wall receptacles the only locations to be determined?

No, the number and location of counter height receptacles are very important. Nowadays, the number and type of appliances are increasing. Air fryers, waffler makers, blenders, slow cookers, are now part of base package of appliances in each household. Knowing what appliances you use, where you use them, and communicating this to your builder during the design process, ensures your electrical design will work for you.
